Christians Against Christian Nationalism-

 Georgia Chapter

We believe that Christian nationalism threatens our faith and country.

About Us
The Georgia Chapter of Christians Against Christian Nationalism seeks to bring together individuals of faith who collectively reject the exploitation of religion for political purposes. Our mission is to advocate for justice, equity, inclusion and the separation of church and state, fostering a society where freedom of belief is respected and preserved.

At Christians Against Christian Nationalism, we believe Christians bear a special responsibility both to draw awareness to Christian nationalism’s gross distortion of the Christian faith and to work to explain its threat to democracy. But this job belongs to all of us, Christians and non-Christians. You do not have to be a Christian to combat Christian nationalism or to work with us, but we as Christians know that we have an important duty to root it out of our country, our congregations and ourselves.
Statement
As Christians, our faith teaches us everyone is created in God's image and commands us to love one another.  As Americans, we value our system of government and the good that can be accomplished in our constitutional democracy.  Today, we are concerned about a persistent threat to both our religious communities and our democracy - Christian nationalism.

Christian nationalsim seeks to merge Christian and American identities, distorting both the Christian faith and America's constitutional democracy.  Christian nationalism demands Christianity be priviledged by the State and implies that to be a good American, one must be Christian.  It often overlaps with and provides cover for white supremacy and racial sujugation.  We reject this damaging political ideology and invite our fellow Christians to join us in opposing this threat to our faith and to our nation.

(11/10/2025) Intro Meeting - Georgia Chapter - Christians Against Christian Nationalism

06:30 PM - 07:30 PM

GA - CACN - Introductions/ Brainstorming

Location: zoom

"The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members." – Coretta Scott King

Greetings!

I’m reaching out with an important invitation for Christians in and around Georgia who oppose Christian nationalism. Together, we are at a pivotal moment. Inspired by the insights shared during Amanda Tyler’s conversation about her book, How to End Christin Nationalism, many of us have felt the urgency to take action rooted in our shared values.

That’s why we’re launching a Christians Against Christian Nationalism coalition here in Georgia. This effort grew out of our follow-up gatherings, where we identified the need for a group that educates our community, builds coalitions, and acts to promote equity and justice.

Our next gathering will be held on Monday, November 10th from 6:30pm-7:30pm via zoom. This event will provide a space for Christians to connect, strategize, and mobilize to resist Christian nationalism and advocate for a vision of faith rooted in love, justice, and equity. This gathering is for anyone, regardless of faith tradition or affiliation, who is concerned about the rise of Christian nationalism in our community and wants to learn what can be done to dismantle and end it in the days ahead.

At the heart of the Christian faith is the call to uphold human dignity and work for the flourishing of all creation. These values compel us to resist the dangerous ideology of Christian nationalism and the policies it promotes, which threaten to distort both our faith and our democracy.
